At Hyperion Stud, we are dedicated to producing top horses for sport, and have spent many years carefully planning our breeding program. From selecting mares from the top mare families in the world that embody the characteristics necessary to produce future stars, to choosing stallions with noteworthy performance records and proven success in the breeding shed.
The 2017 breeding season has come to an end. In June we welcomed our final foal of the season in Germany, a colt by Uriko. Of the eight foals we had this season in the US and Europe, seven of them were colts! The only filly was born on the farm in Virginia to our beautiful States Premium mare, Vision.

We strive to make the search for your next equine partner easy and accessible, so please feel free to contact us if you see something of particular interest. In addition, we are able to offer foal raising services for clients who purchase a young horse from Hyperion Stud.
Filly by Cachas out of Vision VI (Cassini/ Heraldik xx/ Landgraf) from stamm 474a

Vision VI was bred by the Johannsen Family and imported from Germany in 2010. She is a States Premium mare and earned top scores of 9 for rideability and 9 for jumping. She has a half brother by Cristo approved in Holland in 2008, and another brother by Cardino that competed up to 1.55m. Vision’s grandmother Zamara by Landgraf was the reserve champion mare of the Elite mare show in Elmshorn and is mother to the internationally successful VDL Groep Spiga by Carthago. Vision is the dam of 2016 AHHA Champion stallion Lucien HS (v. Limbus) and the 2016 AHHA Champion Colt, Chinaro HS (v. Chin Quidam VDL).
Cachas, by Caretino, is proving to be a top progenitor even after his sudden and tragic death in 2014. A highly modern athlete, Cachas attracted attention for his movement as well as for his jumping ability at the Neumünster stallion licensing. At his 30-day test in München Riem in 2012 he received exceptional marks scoring 10.0 for jumping ability, 9.25 for character, 9.0 for canter, 8.63 for rideability, and 8.0 for trot and walk.
Colt by Imothep out of Diana HS (Singular Joter/ Accord II/ Corrado) stamm 776

Diana HS is an exceptionally bred mare coming from stamm 776.. Her mother is full sister to the stallion Acorado and has four full siblings who competed at 1.50m level or higher. She is a spectacular mare type with tremendous scope that is accentuated by her quick reflexes and elastic body.
Imothep competed in the XXXI Olympic Games in Rio for Team Japan and is sire to numerous Premium and Championship foals both in the US and in Europe. His sire, Indoctro, is one of the best producing stallions in in the world today. In 2011, Imothep was fully approved and licensed by the BWP and awarded the “Elite” status, becoming the only Indoctro son in Europe and North America who has been given this acknowledgement. In 2014 Imothep was awarded the Ambassador status with the BWP, was fully licensed with the KWPN and approved by AHHA. Imothep was acknowledged as the 2015 Horse of the Year with KWPN-NA.
Colt by Chin Quidam out of Novia (Contender/ Lavall) from Stamm 474a
Novia, is said to be the Top standing Contender mare in the world today! She is a 55pt States Premium mare with scores of 9 on type and 9 on canter. She won her Mare Performance Test with a score of 10 for rideability and 10 for jumping. Her first foal is the Holsteiner Approved stallion Coolidge and she is the mother of a daughter who has produced two stallions for Neumunster by Calido I.
Chin Quidam VDL is an exceptional son of the legendary Chin Chin. He was purchased as a six year old from VDL stud in Holland. In 2014 he had top finishes at WEF in the 1.30m and 1.40m divisions with Darragh Kenny and went on to have several wins in the 1.40m-1.45m at Spruce Meadows, Aachen, Dublin and won his first 1,50m in Ommen in 2014.

Freyja HS decends from stamm 474a, one of the top Holsteiner stamms which produced internationally renowned stallions Coolidge, Calato and Verdi. Her sire Mylord Carthago is by the legendary Carthago, and is said to be his most successful son. Mylord Carthago competed at the World Equestrian Games in 2010 and was winner of the Global Champion Tour Grand Prix CSI4* of Vienna. Freyja’s Dam Sire Casall needs little introduction. He is an Olympic & WEG competitor, winner of the 2016 Global Champions Tour, sire of countless grand prix horses and ranked 4th in 2016 WBFSH TOP 100 Sires.
Uriko, by Untouchable, embodies the modern show jumper type. At 1,70m, the long-legged stallion falls inline with the Holsteiner Verband breeding stallion requirements. He has an expressive head, a well-set neck of good length and a well-structured and muscular back joined by powerful hindquarters. In 2011 he was tested and received the scores of 9.25 for his canter, 8.83 for jumping ability and achieved a total breeding value of 130.
Colt by Untouchable out of Diemmena HS (Connor/ Carlos) stamm 776

Diemmena HS is a 2011 “Elite” Mare who was awarded the States Premium title at her Mare Performance Test in Germany in 2014. As a result, Diemmena HS was invited to the Elite Mare Show in Elmshorn, Germany in June of that same year. Her grandmother is 1.60m-level showjumping mare Ibiza . Stamm 776 is one of the top Holsteiner mare families in the world which has produced horses such as Acorado I, Ramiro, Livello, Lordanos, Calvados among many other successful horses.
Untouchable blends the best bloodlines from Selle Français, KWPN and Holstein. Untouchable is by the French top sire Hors La Loi II who competed successfully in international classes with placings in the prestigious Global Champions Tour. He is the sire of the young stallion Untouched, approved and sold at auction for a staggering € 300,000 in 2009.

Elyssa hails from stamm 776, one of the top Holsteiner mare families in the world which has produced horses such as Acorado I, Ramiro, Livello, Lordanos, Calvados among many other successful horses. Her grandmother Eileen V, by Landgraf, produced 1.60m-level showjumping mare Ibiza. Her sire Calido I is one of the most important jumper sires in the world. He is the sire of multiple Bundeschampions and Grand Prix jumpers including Coupe de Coeur who was ridden by Ludgar Beerbaum. He himself has an impressive competition record which includes more than 20 wins in show jumping classes for young horses and achieved the jumping index of 140.40 at his performance test.
Cardento is son of the legendary Capitol I and has proven himself at the highest level winning a Silver medal at the World and European Championship as well as the Olympics in Athens. His breeding successes are world class with no less than six offspring jumping at the World Equestrian Games in Normandy 2014. Based on the achievements of his offspring, Cardento was awarded the ‘Elite’ status, received the ‘Breeders Trophy’ five times, and was honored twice as ‘Horse of the Year’ in Sweden and has a jumping index of 165.

Danke Schoen HS is a premium mare who received 51 Bonit points and was Site Champion at her AHHA Inspection in 2015. She is out of our mare F-Laureen 016 who had a successful performance career before entering the breeding shed.
Obourg is one the few Elite BWP stallions standing in North America. He descends from one of the best French dam lines and was a top competitor on the Belgian young horse circuit. After coming to the US he had a very successful career at the Grand Prix level with Olympian Lisa Jacquin before injury retired him from sport to breeding. His is producer of numerous 1,60m jumping horses competing successfully today as well as a producer of top mares. Obourg is a super “father” horse.

Lady Lux Lady scored Main Mare Premium at her inspection with the AHHA in 2013 with a total score of 46 Bonit points. She is the Dam to the very successful and winning 6 year old mare, Geneva HS, who is competing with Brook Kemper.
